We would like to welcome you to the Hygrade Inn.  We enjoy the history of our home, the community, and region, and enjoy sharing it with our guests.

 

The Hygrade Inn has had several interations.  Built in the 1880s, the home was most known as the residence of Bernard Erksine, one of the founders and president, of the Sylvania Corporation.  From the early 1900s  though the 1970s, the family resided in the home.

From the 1970s until 2017, the house was owned by several owners and no major renovations occurred,  We purchased the home in 2018 and did an extensive renovation, including adding a second floor en-suite bathroom, replacing all of the electric and plumbing, adding a full house gas backup generator and adding the large mahogany front porch!
